Watched a homeless guy drop his sign in disappointment and wrote this….
On a gorgeous day, I choose to play in traffic for hours on in….
I choose to pace that sidewalk, the center island….
Asking for spare change or a dollar even..
Hoping I could buy a sandwich when I’m leaving….
I have no home nor food to eat…
I have no clothes nor bed to sleep…
I am unemployed but I haven’t given up…
Hopefully some spare change can add some better luck…
But what I’m hoping for is empathy…
I hope those that drive by see a soul inside me…..
Sure, I too was productive in society…
But I stumbled somewhere I probably shouldn’t have…..
I get vexed when studying my past,
But like good times, bad times never last!!!!!
How can the city of Baltimore trust the police department when they have zero regard for the citizens they serve. I can honestly say, in my 27 years and 8mos of life; a whopping 78 percent of my encounters with BCPD have been unfavorable. I’m sure that number is higher but the benefit of the doubt was giving to BCPD, when will it be giving to residents in my community? When will innocent until proven guilty ring true with my tax dollars? Are homicides really taking up all the officers or are your officers migrating to the more exciting duties while shirking others. Do your officers live so far away that they have no connection with the communities they serve?? I can ask questions all day but the department is in need of a make over if it wants to make this city great while keeping its culture!
Violence is inhumane
One in the same
But both describe the disdain
Felt for one another in a city painted with such shame
I can’t complain
I’ve only been shot but, I’m still here to endure such pain
I still ponder on a day when change came
But I snap back to reality when I hear a shell hit the ground like loose change
Or I read a story about an elderly man shot in the brain
Our mayor is a female but she seems to not know the details
So distant from the story that we tell
So she sells property to who ever has the biggest monopoly and we fail……
"There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what. All right, there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you name it. That that’s an entitlement. And the government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what.”
“And I mean the president starts off with 48, 49, 4–he starts off with a huge number. These are people who pay no income tax. Forty-seven percent of Americans pay no income tax. So our message of low taxes doesn’t connect. So he’ll be out there talking about tax cuts for the rich.”
“I mean, that’s what they sell ever four years. And so my job is not to worry about those people. I’ll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives. What I have to do is to convince the five to ten percent in the center that are independents, that are thoughtful, that look at voting one way or the other depending upon in some cases emotion, whether they like the guy or not.” Jackass Romney
